Good Day Readers, In Todays Blog we will continue to discuss the Topic of ” Using Manipulation to Defend One`s Position “.

As We Discussed there is competition in workplace environment, So, In order to make sure everyone within the company is doing their jobs and keeping nothing in their minds except perfect operation, the people in power must persuade and charm their underlings so as to convince them that their work is thoroughly appreciated and vital to the successful operation of the company.

This is done through lots of attention to the business statement of purpose and how the company improves society and offers something of value to everyone involved and to all customers helping to keep the company going. These value statements often seem completely altruistic in nature, as if the ultimate aim of the company is to help this specific niche of human individuals, and this goal goes far beyond simple monetary concerns as the primary objective.

In this way, workers can be inspired to do their jobs to the best of their ability with the belief system that they are working for the people who are buying their products, and not just to boost the Income of the people who are in charge and running the company from the top.

This is a form of Internal and nonpersonal Manipulation, with decisions and actions being taken from the top, which then spread throughout the company through different modes of communication and dissemination of information through such individuals as middle management in order to get to those on the lowest “RUNG” of the corporate ladder.

As this is done, it soon becomes part of the Paradigm of working there, and it becomes an essential part of the public identity of that company.

This all seems sinister on the face of it, but it is all about the balance that is demanded from a market economy between filling a need within society and also building up the business so that it becomes Dominant in the Industry and remains Successful and Sustainable. There is nothing wrong with maintaining a proper balance between these two concerns, but, all too often, the scales start to tip toward Economic Dominance within an industry and the Greed of those in Power.

This movement prompts Manipulation as a Necessity to maintain the Façade of the balance, which may or may not have existed at the outset.

Now, let`s scale down a bit and talk about how an individual employee might utilize Tactics of Manipulation in order to build Himself up above everyone else. There is a tendency within groups of Human Beings that is quite Effective in this Context.

For Example, a boss assigns a group of Employees to work as a Team on a certain Project. They are to meet and Brainstorm Ideas to come up with a detailed plan on how to Proceed. An Employee who has his sights set on climbing up the Ladder can use this situation to his advantage if he plays it right.

The Person in Group meetings who talks the Loudest and is the most charismatic will have an instinctively more profound effect on the minds of those around him compared to the one who sits back in the corner or talks in a quieter tone of voice and affect.

Even if this quieter individual has the better ideas, the group will tend to lean toward the one with much more confidence, and this is something that is ingrained within us as human beings, in relation to the establishment of an Alpha or Leader, which gives back to the first Manifestation of Human Society on Earth.

We can`t get away from the tendencies tied to Human Nature, though we can work to be conscious of when someone is using this as a part of Manipulative tactics. Without thinking about it, however, the team will automatically start to Lean toward this Confident, Charismatic Voice in the Room, and, Ultimately, this individual will use this Phenomenon as a way to make himself seem like this Prominent Voice of Leadership from the Perspective of his Boss – and this is the Ultimate Goal.

Unfortunately, because of this phenomenon, many bad decisions are often made without the realization that they were not the best ideas until it is too late. The Fact that this is an often subconscious mechanism of Human Nature means it is not always something that people Realize is happening to them at the moment when they are making those Crucial Decisions.

Here we will End this Topic, and in Next Topic we will be Discussing about:
